If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
1 h% f" N; Q5 ~ Or, being lied about,don't deal in lies,
+ R& v% X' e* P* p$ G8 p4 c Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,2 r2 g: J% n2 y2 u" y* i
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;$ X1 t% p7 i1 ~
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
6 L* v& k( W* o0 z9 k" H, X$ ^% @ If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
0 C! M: t E! l2 D9 f If you can meet with triumph and disaster
P# X+ ?0 F5 f6 d9 t7 H0 H: B! Q# [ And treat those two impostors just the same;
; v; D0 @5 d z8 x, N If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
: {# R; }) n7 [5 G8 } Twiseted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,7 o3 G l( Y4 |0 G) y' ^
And lose, and start again at your beginnings

And so hold on when there is nothin in you

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
9 P/ ~, u: a3 \: R9 T9 |4 [4 y& E0 O Or walk with Kings -nor lose the common touch;
$ M6 p! f, b1 J1 S4 X; w If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;$ \. k, S' j1 i4 s- h
If all men count with you, but none too much;% H! T' q9 P$ r1 w0 n
If you can fill the unforgiving minute; ^6 ?$ ]5 R6 p4 [/ x9 n( Z
With sixty second' worth of distance run -
& c" D R+ f# m Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
